October Love Note: Release, Revisit, Revise

As a Midwestern Libra, this season’s beauty and gifts feel personal to me. The light and warmth of summer days shift into tangible, crisp Autumn ways. My mind searches for something new to study or understand. I pull cozy, soft sweaters from closet corners I’ve ignored for months. And we begin navigating changing landscapes, both interior and exterior, to renew ourselves from deep within.

Of course, we know that nothing lasts forever — even though we live in daily denial of that. But we also know when a season, a someone, or an opportunity moves on, there’s always something new for us to embrace, learn, love, or discover.

And in that Universal pulsation, we are constantly searching for where or how that energetic balance lies within us, or within our reach.

As always, the Cosmos is busy cooking.

As we move through Libra Season toward Scorpio’s Samhain and Halloween energy, the energetic duality is the prevailing vibe. Libra’s scales of justice gracefully seek balance to preserve justice in society and harmony in relationships.

Confident in your balance and understanding, Scorpio will take you to the depth of your humanity — searching for secrets and deep truths so you can fully know your powerful part to play in Earth School — with no apologies.

The peak of Scorpio season is Halloween and Samhain, the sacred threshold where the veil between Earth School and the Spirit World thins, bringing us closer to the power of death and rebirth that transforms our lives literally and figuratively. Who are the giants upon whose shoulders you stand? How will you honor who and what has passed before you? Let that inventory prepare you to understand, accept, and release with grace and clarity during this soul-searching season. And let’s not forget the awesome parties, outstanding costumes, and all the tricks & treats!

And from October 3 to November 14, Venus—the planet of love and beauty—is retrograde, pulling you to revisit, revise, and renew — think of this season as downloading your upgraded operating system that runs your relationships with your: money, relationships, worthiness, rest, pleasure, beauty, your personal value, what you personally value. And from my personal perspective… and EVERYTHING ELSE because Venus rules relationships.

During this sacred cosmic gift that only happens about every 18 months, I invite you to slow down to reevaluate and prioritize your Venus aspects, such as:

Release, revisit, revise, and then release some more.

Here’s Your Timeline for Working with Venus Retrograde’s 8-Year Cycle

First, check what you were doing October 5th through November 16th, 2018, when Venus last went retrograde in Scorpio & Libra.

Venus entered her shadow phase August 31st.

She turned retrograde October 3rd at 8° Scorpio ♏️.

She goes backward to 22° Libra ♎️, where she stations direct on October 26th.

She returns to ♏️ on December 12th.

She clears her shadow on December 16th.

When we accept the truth that nothing lasts forever, we can learn to release with grace and gratitude. If releasing with intention doesn’t come easily yet, pivot to focus on what you’re excited about for your future. Power up that vision, inspiration, or idea, and then let whatever is easiest to walk away from rise to the surface with clarity.
