Steadiness, consistency, a calmness that allows those around you to relax, knowing they are in a warm, safe space: these are the foundational gifts in our fast-paced often chaotic world that the Taurus can bring. Taurus energy is the foundation for families, teams, corporations, and organizations, for their loyalty and patience creates an environment for high trust and commitment. A Taurus always delivers.

If you are a Taurus or have a Taurus in your life… via work, love, family, or friendship… we want to take this time to honor and celebrate the Taurus energy and gifts, for you have so many of them that are much needed in this world.

Taurus is the sign that most closely resembles Mother Earth. In general, their personalities are very sweet and gentle, with a pace all their own. Taurus energy reminds me of the Ralph Waldo Emerson quote, “Adopt the pace of nature, her secret is patience.” Mother Earth has its own seasons, her wisdom cannot be rushed. It’s not a frantic pace unless there’s a disturbance or imbalance in its matrix—then, much like Mother Earth—you see the side of Taurus that resembles all the might and force Mother Nature and human nature can bring.

This sustainable and predictable pace is extremely inspirational and comforting, yet at the same time, it can make Taurus appear stubborn. And, frankly, they are stubborn, but they prefer the phrase “strong-willed.” Taurus energy thrives on consistency, steadiness, and control. They can be quite inflexible, especially when pushed to bend their will, ideas, or change the course that they firmly believe is the correct way. They don’t want you to meddle, worry, or try to lead the ship. They got this. You just need to trust and let them proceed. Therefore, if you have decided to go up against this Taurus energy make sure you’re prepared to dance with “the Bull.” Taurus energy has a way of always pushing through. They’re headstrong, to put it mildly.

When working with Taurus energy, let them create the timeline, and keep it flexible. For example: if you need a project completed in four weeks, offer them two. You’ll have it in three, and they will appreciate the flexibility and trust. Taurus is extremely hardworking and likes to be busy.

… which is a good thing, for Taurus love material treasures. To them, treasures are not “stuff”—they are essential luxuries. Taurus wants to be known not only for their work ethic and ability but equally respected for their good taste and style. Think fireside and fur; cheese and wine; cashmere and silk. In the world of Game of Thrones, if the Stark family of Winterfell were an astrological sign, it would be Taurus: candle-lit castle, fireplaces in every room, fur blankets, direwolves, and godswood; hard-work, dedication, patience, loyalty, truth, and family. That – is Taurus energy through and through.

If you love a Taurus, feed them and cuddle with them. Everything else they will take care of. Know that they are at their best in nature, so be sure to spend time outdoors with them, especially if you need to have a challenging or important conversation.

To harness this Taurus energy, celebrate steadiness, loyalty, patience, and tenacity — then activate that within yourself in the areas that may need a boost of determination and will. Clarify and solidify the boundaries, beliefs, and essential non-negotiables you need to thrive — and become as dedicated to them as a Taurus would be.

Bask in the sensuous side of Taurus energy and make yourself a cozy space within your home. Fill it with your softest blanket, favorite decadent food, and sweetest-smelling candle. Kick back and linger here when you need to, and do so in the name of self-care. We all need a little luxury and a sanctuary. And we all need some Taurus energy in our lives.
