July Love Note: Don’t Burn Out

Everyone is either going through some aspect of burnout currently, or tiptoeing on its precipice. Connecting with something bigger than you is one way to keep the inner-frizzle from catching fire. Right now, I feel solid when I focus on my upcoming podcast launch. I’m not in complete control, I don’t know how it’s going to land, so I stay grounded in my vision of offering something that’s meaningful to you, that you can identify with, and raise the frequency of your world.

Identifying what grounds you to a tangible project or way of being is crucial right now, as long as the need for absolute control doesn’t lead you astray….

And that’s because, everywhere you look, life feels surreal, and reality keeps shifting shape. Finding your footing during times of upheaval and change can lead you to grasp at anything that feels solid.

Which leads us to this question: Are you mindfully choosing where to focus your energy, or are you disoriented and searching for stability without considering the energetic cost? Reality says: Things will never be the same again. Mindfulness asks: Where can I rise up in the face of uncertainty? What do I know to be solid within myself?

This is important work, because disorientation leads to burnout. We are halfway through the year and entering the true heat of summer, with more than just temperatures shifting. With Pluto solidly in Aquarius for just over a year now, shifts are happening globally and internally. It’s time to get clear and make hard calls on what you’ll continue to energetically finance, and what you’ll actively release. Not out of punishment, but for the sake of your personal transformation and ultimately, your freedom.

However, now is not the time to push it or force it. Instead, allow or invite this transition in with wisdom and grace for the greater good, because the time is ripe, and continuing the way it was isn’t possible. Pushing or forcing only creates burnout.

Releasing is hard enough work on its own. And you’re already exhausted. Surrender with grace, as you search for the larger picture at play.

Now more than ever, nature-based rituals are your friend. Using all of your senses, take time to connect to all that is bigger than you. See the expansive sky and intricate shapes of the leaves. Hear the sounds of water, animal life, rain, and wind. Feel the sun, soak up its energy. Touch grass, smell flowers, taste the bountiful harvest summer brings. Your nervous system knows that while you may be here for only a minute, nature has been here forever, bringing thousands of years of infinite wisdom and possibility—generously and ever-giving.

Here are a few other tools I utilize every day of my life:
